  • VALERIE LYONS - President


    Valerie is the current President of ACCV, a Board Director of Aged & Community Services Australia and a Board Director of HESTA Superannuation, a member of National Disability Services State Committee and a member of the NAB Health Advisory Council. Currently, Valerie is the Chief Executive Officer of Villa Maria. Serving more than 5,000 people across the state, Villa Maria offers over 60 programs through 42 metropolitan and regional locations, including residential aged care and community care options.

    With twenty years leadership in the aged and community services sector and extensive experience across the health and finance industries, Valerie has proven to be a strong and committed advocate for effective policy and sector change. Valerie holds qualifications in finance and post graduate management, is studying for her Masters in Social Policy and Management and is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Corporate Directors (FAICD), the Australian Society of Certified Practising Accountants (FCPA) and the Institute of Corporate Managers Secretaries and Administrators (FCIS).
  • MAL HUMPHRIES - Vice President


    Malcolm is the current Vice President of ACCV, having been a Board Member for four years, and is deeply committed to improving quality of care for older people. He is the Chief Executive Officer of Arcare Pty Ltd, a private sector aged care provider which, over the past 10 years, has grown to 14 facilities nationally. Malcolm is active in the Church of Christ, where he has been a member of the Eldership Council for the past five years. A Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (MAICD) and previously a Certified Practicing Accountant for 25 years, he was also a Minister of Religion where he ministered both in Australia and in mission roles overseas.
  • KEVIN O'SULLIVAN - Deputy Vice President


    Kevin is the proprietor of a 45 bed residential aged care facility in Boronia and has worked in the aged care industry for more than 17 years, primarily as a proprietor of three aged care facilities. He is a member of both ACCV’s Finance and Audit Committee and ACCV Executive Committee.
  • PETRA NEELEMAN - Chair, Finance and Audit Committee


    Petra is the CEO of DutchCare Ltd which provides care for 900 older people per week. Petra believes that the very best care must be offered to older people, even if that means challenging current systems. She is a member of ACCV’s Finance and Audit Committee as well as the Issues and Challenges, Conference and Cultural Diversity Taskforces. Petra has a Bachelor of Business and is the 2006 winner of the Jonas Kreveld Award for services to business and the community. She was a founding board member and past chairperson of Eden-in-Oz, a not-for-profit organisation promoting the care environments as habitats for human beings that promote health and well being.
  • RHYS BOYLE


    Rhys has 25 years experience in health administration in both the acute and aged care sectors and holds tertiary qualifications in business and health services management. For the last 15 years, Rhys has held the position of Chief Executive Officer of Lyndoch, a community owned care facility in Warrnambool. Lyndoch employs approximately 375 staff and provides a broad range of residential, community, retirement living, in home and case management services across South West Victoria.
  • JOE CARUSO


    Joseph’s career has spanned private accounting practice, local government, Rural Ambulance Victoria and Alpine Health, before moving into aged care. He is currently the Chief Executive Officer of St Johns Village in Wangaratta. Joseph sees the importance of a strong association such as ACCV, to convey the sector’s dedication to the care of the older people and the voice of members to the Government and community. Joseph understands the issues facing rural providers and has chaired the Hume Regional ACCV forum for three years. He continues to be an active member of that group. Joseph holds a Bachelor of Business Degree and is a Fellow of the Australian Society of Accountants.
  • JEFF DAVEY


    Jeff Davey has been involved in the aged and community care sector for more than 15 years, and is currently the Chief Executive of Baptcare. Prior to commencing with Baptcare in 1992, Jeff held various professional and managerial roles in the accounting profession, the banking sector and in community organisations. Jeff holds tertiary qualifications in commerce (B Comm (Melb)), theology (B Theol (MCD)) and management (MBA (Exec) (Mon)) and is a Chartered Accountant. Jeff is also the chairperson of the ACCV Issues and Challenges Taskforce.
  • PAUL GREGERSEN


    Paul Gregersen is the CEO of Bupa Care Services and has been a Managing Director for almost 20 years, eight of those with Bupa with a particular focus on service delivery and the management and development of staff. His experience includes the management of the largest private hospital in the UK and an insight into the healthcare systems and delivery cultures in a number of countries including Singapore, China, United States, Denmark, the UK and Australia.
  • SANDRA HILLS


    Sandra is Chief Executive Officer of Benetas, with over 20 years experience in a range of Senior Management roles in the health and community services industry, state and local government and the community sector. Sandra is a Director of Anglicare Australia, member of the Ministerial Aged Care Advisory Committee (2004-present) and a member of various other State Government advisory and reference committees. Her qualifications are: MBA, Graduate Diploma Human Services Administration, Graduate Diploma Human Services, Research & Evaluation, BA (Psychology), MAIM, MAICD, MAIPA.
  • RICHARD JENKINGS


    Richard has worked continuously in Commonwealth subsidised residential, and supported residential aged care for more than 26 years. He is co-owner and the Chair/Operational Director of Gold Age and is currently responsible for four facilities. Gold Age has considerable involvement with significant community groups such as the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and St Vincent’s Institute. Richard is a qualified applied chemist with a Bachelor of Education and a Graduate Diploma in Special Education. He served on the Aged Care Association of Victoria (ACAV) Board for five years (2001 - 2006) and the ACCV Board since its inception in 2006. Richard brings diverse skills to the Board and the industry having worked and managed across chemistry, quality and education. He is determined to ensure that small to medium sized approved providers are heard and valued.
  • MEIGAN LEFEBURE


    Meigan is the General Manager, Compliance of the Regis Group, a significant provider of residential aged care in Australia. Meigan is an experienced aged care professional, with a demonstrable record of success in leading and representing the sector at a senior operational and policy development level. Meigan has extensive experience in operational strategies, business services and with staff and boards. She is the former Chief Executive Officer of the Aged Care Association of Victoria and has also occupied positions as a State Manager for Regis, a Director of Nursing and Clinical Services Manager. Meigan is a member of the Nurse Advisor and Administrator Panel with the Department of Health & Ageing, has served on the Aged Care Planning and Advisory Committee, helped judge the Australian Nursing Awards and is a long-standing member of the ACFI National Industry Reference Group.
  • INGRID WILLIAMS


    Ingrid is the Chief Executive of TLC Aged Care, commencing in May 2004. Prior to joining the company, Ingrid worked in the acute hospital sector for 18 years, both private and public, in senior management roles. Ingrid is passionate about the industry and has a good understanding of State and Federal legislation and its impact on the industry from a service delivery point of view. Ingrid has a Masters in Health Administration, a Bachelor of Educational Studies and a Diploma of Business (Frontline Management).
